Nonspeaking Does Not Mean Nonverbal! All communication requires volitional motor movement.  Many individuals with autism and developmental coordination disorders cannot communicate because they cannot control their bodies. We work with the non-speaking population on communication through spelling, as well as provide basic tutoring services and teach others to become communication partners.
