The "Community Table" is MKIFP's new signature FRIEND/FUNdraising spring reception that includes scrumptious hors d'oeuvres presented by Thomas Fox & Son Catering, cold drinks (with craft beer underwritten by Exit 4 Food Hall), desserts donated by Mast Market and toe-tapping music by DogBone. The evening is about savoring the connections forged around the dining table, the laughter shared, the ideas created, and the joyful inspiration always present when friends and family come together, while enjoying great food.

The Community Table concept acknowledges that while food is a basic human necessity, it can improve not only the physical health of the community, but also the emotional and social well being of those eating together. Join 100++ guests at this inviting reception where you will not only welcome the warmer weather and relax in a historic and quaint indoor/outdoor venue, but also learn more ways you can try to mitigate food insecurity in our neighborhoods through the Community Table concept. 

Sponsorship and ticket purchases enable us to continue providing healthy, nourishing food to individuals, families, homebound and unhoused people in the 21 Northern Westchester communities we serve on a weekly basis. In 2023, the Pantry provided 830,000 pounds of food to over 102,000 individuals (duplicated #), including nearly 12,000 seniors and 28,000 children. MKIFP holds three distributions per week, and offers home delivery every two weeks for those who are disabled, without transportation, and/or the elderly. Other programs include the Morning Fuel Up hot breakfast initiative, Schools Out Supplement, and Grab 'n Go, along with periodic educational seminars/workshops. MKIFP is run by a lean staff of 3 full time and 4 part time employees with more than 475 volunteers (who donated approximately 8,800 hours of time in 2023)
