Position: Hotel Sales Coordinator
Location: Hotel MTK
Pay Range: Starting $17.00-$20.00 per hour based on experience
Schedule: Full-Time
Description:
The Sales Coordinator provides administrative and general support to the Sales Team in a variety of activities. The ideal candidate can acts as the initial contact for inquiries for all group and catering functions, manages groups blocks, book individual reservations and qualify leads for future business.
Position Reports To:
Sales and Marketing Manager
Main Responsibilities:
Qualifies business to ensure leads are sent to the appropriate salesperson
Builds and manages Room Blocks and company rates
Inputs Rooming Lists
Distributes Weekly Group Cover Sheets and E-mail with all needed details
Assists with BT (Business transient) contracting and group contracting as needed
Assists Event Manager with event execution and planning as required
Utilizes reservation system for sales related administrative functions
Manages reservation links and custom web pages
Prepares promotional and marketing materials
Assists with sales reporting as needed
Assists with market research to identify area events for potential business
Assists in special projects as requested by the sales team
Follows up with Thank You/Group Survey
Awards Meeting Planner points
Maintains relationships with customers to ensure future business
Ability to multi-task in a high paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Software
Has a great eye for detail
Is flexible and has what it takes to get the job done
Is well presented; well-groomed and conform with the hotel’s dress code
Must be a self-starter and be able to work with minimum supervision
Total commitment to guest satisfaction
Ability to communicate effectively and work well with guests and co-workers to exhibit true hospitality.
Education/Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent
Skills:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business, technical procedures, company journals, and government regulations.
Ability to write reports and procedural manuals. Effectively deliver all required information to managers and coworkers
Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Sales and marketing expertise to develop and implement successful strategies for generating business and revenue growth.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Typing skills, Windows XP or newer, Work, Excel and Outlook
